Terms of Service
These terms cover what you can expect from Paper Animation and what we expect from you. We have kept them short and in plain language on purpose.

Using the service
Paper Animation turns words and images into animated paper graphics inside your browser. You may use it for personal and commercial work, subject to the plan you are on and the rules below.
You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
Your content
Anything you type or upload stays yours. Rendering happens on your own device, so your words and images are not sent to our servers as part of generating an animation.
You are responsible for holding the rights to any image you bring in, and for the claims you make with the animations you export. The publication names that appear inside generated clippings are fictional and must not be presented as real press coverage.
What you export
Clean, watermark-free exports produced on a paid plan are yours to use however you like, including client work and paid campaigns.
Free exports carry a small watermark. You may post them anywhere, but the watermark must stay visible and unobscured.
What you may not do
- Resell or redistribute the tool itself, or present it as your own product.
- Use it to produce content that is unlawful, harassing, or designed to deceive people about a real publication or person.
- Attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
- Strip the watermark from a free export by any means.
Plans and billing
The Creator plan is billed monthly and can be cancelled in one click at any time. Access to clean exports continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
Founder’s Lifetime is a single payment for ongoing access, including future animation styles, for as long as the service operates. Founder numbers are assigned in purchase order and are not transferable.
Availability
We aim to keep everything running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and roadmap items are intentions rather than commitments.
If we ever have to shut the service down, we will give notice by email to everyone on a paid plan.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to Paper Animation is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and contact
If we update these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will say so on this page and email paid users.
